It was not all bad news, Thursday 17^th November at the Barceló Hotel in Daventry proved to be a fantastic evening for the New Edge team (and partners).  After all we got to see and hear celebrity host Tom O’Connor complete his twenty minute retro set. The Northampton Hope Centre has been opening its doors to the homeless and disadvantaged for over 35 years.  Based in Ash Street in Northampton, the Hope Centre runs a drop in day centre for homeless people in the town, providing beneficiaries with food, showers, clothes and a safe place to socialise. In addition, the Hope Centre offers a variety of activities designed to encourage people to build their self-esteem and develop new skills. The charity has developed from a soup kitchen into a busy day centre catering for up to 100 people every day. There are 4 full time members of staff as well as 4 part time members but the centre operates daily with the help of over 60 volunteers. The centre is completely dependent on funding donated from the local community, churches and schools.

The Awards, now in their 21st year will again celebrate successful Northamptonshire companies and individuals and we are overwhelmed to be finalists!

The Awards Presentation takes place on Thursday 17^th November at the Barceló Hotel in Daventry with celebrity host Tom O’Connor. Winners will be announced on the evening and will receive a crystal trophy and certificate if successful.

We have had a very busy year, taking on 2 new employees and achieving some fantastic results for our clients, hence why we entered for this year’s awards. 2011 has seen the introduction of our own SEO division, NeSEO which has also been nominated in the New Business of the Year category and we have continued to develop our very own e-commerce software NEMcart which was shortlisted in the 2009 awards for product innovation.

Here at Newedge things are moving very fast, were growing our team, taking on some great projects and getting some quality SEO results for our clients but most importantly: we are all enjoying it!

So first things first, in a couple of weeks time we will be welcoming 2 new members to our Finedon based SEO team, a social media and copywriting specialist and a web developer who will come in to assist with the current team in all our SEO and Web development work.

We also have some great new projects on the horizon, work has begun on our SEO based NeSEO website over at www.newedge.co.uk, some of the content is being created but this will take off once the desing is completed, chopped up and uploaded to the domain in the next week or two. In the last week we have takn on a few new clients on the SEO side of things, this is only going to grow more and more.

With our current clients we are getting some great results, they are going to see their social media and content recieve a great makeover when our specialist arrives in a couple of weeks, we can also now propose bespoke social media projects to accompany the SEO or web building campaigns.

Newedge is busy busy busy, we have websites and SEO rolling off from 8-6 everyday, non stop (apart from the occassional game of table, oh and a few games of pool and some iPad apps here and there).

In recent times we have seen salonjobseeker.com getting re-done, call it a face-lift or a makover if you will and even more recently we have moved the safari.co.uk blog onto the main site to improve the depth and relevancy of the site SEO campaign.

Lawrence is working hard on several web projects, including a very forward thinking shoe manufacturer’s website featuring several hundred 3d images! News on that to come.
